FAQ
Common questions about using MacroPilot.
How do I get an account?
A coach or administrator creates it and gives you a username and a one-time password. There is no public sign-up.
Who can see my data?
You, and the coach you are assigned to. Other clients and other coaches cannot see it. Every account is scoped to its own data.
What happens to the photos I upload?
They are sent to Anthropic's API to read the food or nutrition label, then stored with your entry. Don't upload photos containing anything you wouldn't want processed that way. See the Privacy Policy.
How accurate are the calorie and macro estimates?
They are approximations. A nutrition-facts label is read exactly; a plain description or photo is an estimate. Adjust the portion, edit the macros, or use manual entry when you need precision.
Can I log a day in the past?
Yes — use the date arrows on the Today tab. You can add, edit or clear entries for any past day, and enter that day's calories-burned figure.
I logged something wrong. How do I fix it?
Change the portion with the Qty control, edit a grouped dish's ingredients, or delete the entry with the trash icon and re-log it.
Why do Insights only update once a week?
A weekly cadence keeps the analysis stable enough to act on and avoids churn from a single day. You can force a fresh one with Regenerate.
How do I export or delete my data?
Export a full JSON backup or CSVs from Settings at any time. To delete your account, email support@macropilot.app.
Which browsers support voice input?
Voice uses the browser's speech recognition — it works in recent Chrome, Edge and Safari. If it's unavailable, type or use a photo instead.
Does it work offline?
No. Logging, parsing and insights all need a connection.
Is this medical or dietary advice?
No. It's an informational tracker. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before making significant changes, especially with a health condition.
